Acid Resistance: 0.025 mm/year corrosion rate in 15% phosphoric acid (80°C); 0.02 mm/year in 20% phosphoric acid + 2% sulfuric acid (85°C).

Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) Resistance: No cracking after 192 hours in boiling 42% magnesium chloride.

Atmospheric Durability: 20-year coastal exposure (Kure Beach) shows 8.7 mg/dm² weight loss and <0.025 mm pit depth.


2. High-Temperature & Mechanical Performance

Temperature Range: Approved for pressure-vessel use up to 800°F (427°C); maintains strength up to 1000°F (538°C).

Ductility: 45% elongation rate prevents brittle failure under thermal cycling (e.g., power plant turbines).
